Briefly presents the formation mechanics, the applicabilities in HVAC and the present status of related studies at home and abroad. Provides a formation procedure of the superhydrophobic surface based on phase detachment technique. For the  surfaces generated with this method, the contacting angle can reach to 164°and the sliding angle is smaller than 2°. The results of the test applying this technique to cold surfaces show that the surfaces of cold radiant panels and low temperature air supply outlets will produce little condensation under any conditions.
